Hey! I'm Karoline.
I've got a bubbly personality, strong creative drive, and big goals.
I'm a displaced New Englander living and working in the Bay Area. I moved to Berkeley in the summer of 2016 and have loved exploring California and the left coast.
Originally from the Boston area, I studied at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. After graduation, I started my professional career working in the athletic department at the University of Massachusetts Lowell where I was the Community Relations Coordinator.
In the spring of 2014 I was offered the opportunity to move to Portland, Maine to work for the Portland Pirates AHL franchise as their Director of Media Relations & Social Media. While I was there they were the AHL Affiliate of the NHL's Arizona Coyotes and then the Florida Panthers. While there I helped oversee a redesign and content migration of their website, managed all media interaction, and created all of the content for the team's social channels and website.
After the Pirates, I moved on to CIEE where I was a Marketing Coordinator. I worked closely with the marketing and sales teams to further CIEE's mission as the global leader in study abroad.
About a year later, I moved to California. Since landing here, I have bartended, freelanced, and worked in social media and marketing roles around the Bay. I am looking forward to taking on my next challenge!
